AR & EMIS Group establish joint venture
Rostock and Spreewald energy expertise now combined in the market for digitalization and automation
SEAR Group and EMIS Group establish joint venture for the intelligent networking of energy systems, buildings and industries
The Rostock-based SEAR Group, which specializes in energy and industrial technology as well as automation, has founded a joint venture with the EMIS group of companies, which specializes in energy supply, electrical engineering and automation. The SEAR Group and EMIS each hold 50 percent of the shares in the new company, which is called ESSI GmbH (EMIS SEAR Smart Infrastructure GmbH) and is based in Berlin. The aim is to be able to offer even better and more comprehensive solutions from a single source in the challenging and rapidly growing market of digitalization and intelligent networking of energy systems. Both SEAR and EMIS are very successful on the market, both nationally and internationally. While SEAR has made a name for itself in recent years with the electrotechnical construction of large power plants, transformer stations, offshore plants and production management systems, e.g. for BASF, EMIS is a successful service partner in conventional power plants, offshore wind farms and as a project partner for the optimization of industrial production processes and safe passenger transport in amusement rides, e.g. at Europapark Rust. Against the backdrop of increasing digitalization and intelligent networking in almost all areas of life, the "Smart Infrastructure" business area is a rapidly growing market with great long-term potential. In particular, this involves the implementation of networked offers and services, combined with the installation of products, components and systems - for example in the areas of intelligent electricity grid control and storage. This requires a high level of expertise and various skills. Both partners bring the necessary and complementary knowledge and skills to the joint venture ESSI. ESSI GmbH can draw on a workforce of 800 specialists from both companies to carry out its orders and the customer is offered the entire value chain from a single source (full service provider). A greater diversity of the services offered as well as improved independence from crises are further advantages of the joint venture.
"When it comes to controlling production processes with a high level of user-friendliness, SEAR has the best references. That's why we attach great importance to cooperating with equally competent providers, and EMIS is undoubtedly one of them. Together, we can offer our customers innovative and cost-effective solutions in the long term," says Mayk Wiese, Managing Partner of the SEAR Group. "We know from experience that the combined strengths of our two companies offer unique benefits," says EMIS Managing Director Christopher Perschk. "I am delighted about this partnership with SEAR and look forward to leveraging our strengths together for the benefit of our customers."
