Social commitment

SEAR is passionate about social projects and is actively committed to supporting local communities. We promote education, culture, health and social integration through a wide range of initiatives.

Education and upbringing

SEAR GmbH supports education and training in schools:

  • Support for students at the University of Rostock as part of the Deutschlandstipendium scholarship
  • Support for the Electrical Engineering Student Council at the University of Rostock
  • Sponsors of the Stralsund University of Applied Sciences
  • Member of the Association for the Promotion of the AfZ Training and Further Education Center Rostock
  • Implementation of internships for pupils and students (approx. 10 interns per year)

Culture

  • SEAR GmbH has been an annual event supporter of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern Festival since 2005.
  • In 2015, SEAR organized a charity kart race for the third time with well-known companies from Rostock and the surrounding area to raise money for disadvantaged children and young people from the region.

  • SEAR is also involved in various sports clubs and sporting activities for our employees. For example, participation in the Rostock company run is planned, including providing employees with sportswear.

Health and social affairs

SEAR GmbH supports with donations, among others:

  • Charisma e.V. Rostock, association for women and family, children and young people
  • Förderverein Hanse-Tour Sonnenschein e.V. in the fight against cancer and chronic diseases in children

SEAR GmbH also awards a large number of contracts to recognized workshops for people with disabilities, such as Lebenhilfe Braunschweig and the DRK workshops in Rostock.

The company has also introduced a company health management system with various measures:

  • Massage and exercise classes in the main SEAR building
  • Cooperation with fitness studios
  • annual health day
  • Visual aid allowance for VDU workstations
